What a Great Week in QCC

I couldn’t believe how much fun I had this week in Queensborough Community College (QCC). I am registered for Chemistry 127 which is general chemistry and is equivalent to Chemistry 101.3 in Queens College. I have class from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 2:35pm. My lecture professor and lab professor are both very kind and make Chemistry a fun class. They are willing to repeat and repeat until the students understand. It is an intensive 3 week course but also very enjoyable. On weekdays the bus goes directly into QCC, but not on weekends. The entrances for the buses are closed on the weekend so you must get off the bus before it makes the turn to the right that heading away from QCC.

Although I spend a lot of time in the classroom, I still manage to explore what QCC has to offer outside of classes. There is a white truck that offers food outside of QCC which is unbelievably tasty. QCC also has an individual art building and a Holocaust Resource Center that offers historical knowledge of the Holocaust. There is a must see mini library that offers many books dealing with the Holocaust. The art building is showing African art and art by Manuel Quintanilla Martello at the moment.

Although QCC lacks map around its campus, the friendly students will guide you to where you must go. The buildings are made easy by having large icons that state the subjects that are offered in that building. For example, if I’m taking a chemistry class, I will go to the Science building. Even though that I am taking a winter course, I can still feel the energy of the lively atmosphere in QCC. There are always students outside talking to each other or heading to the learning center.
