So Spring 2010 has arrived. In just a few hours students from all over the city and Long Island will get to Queens College to start their new semester.
I’m really excited, I hope you are too! Remember that you had more than a month off and you should be ready to begin the new semester with great motivation and positive energies to do well in every single class.
For some of us this semester may be our last semester at Queens College, and I personally know people who are actually graduating. I must say good luck to them. I know I would miss QC a lot when I graduate, and honestly I don’t really want to graduate anytime soon but I have to. What about you?
There are many whom this semester would be their second semester, and they may yet have to discover many things about Queens College. My advice to those upper freshmen is to be as active as you can. The truth be told I was not so active in my first year at Queens College and as a result I lost many opportunities. So try to get to know as many people as you can. The more people you know the better off you are, since networking is a key element to your success.
Another interesting thing about Spring 2010 is that this semester is the first semester in the new decade. It’s really the second semester if you want to be picky and count the winter session.
My final point is to not PROCRASTINATE. I know I do anyways, but seriously most people tend to think that the first few weeks of the semester is part of their break, and they begin to take their classes serious only to find that midterms are just a week away.
Good luck and enjoy the new semester.
