Did you watch the Oscars last night?

I did, I mean I had plans to watch it, and only discovered on Sunday afternoon that I don’t have ABC. In case you don’t know, it wasn’t that I didn’t have ABC but it was that due to a dispute between ABC and Cablevision, millions of Cablevision customers in the area did not receive ABC on their cable boxes. I lost hope and gave up my plan to watch the Oscars. Around pm, an hour after the Oscars had already begun. I realized that ABC and Cablevision had finally come to an agreement and therefore, Cablevision customers were able to watch ABC, and for me that meant I could start watching the Oscars, and I did!

I’m a big fan of movies, I love movies, and I watch movies as often and as much as I can. If I wanted to pursue my real true dream it would have been somewhere in the world of cinema. But I didn’t follow my real-true-magical dream and decided to just become an accountant. So for me, watching the Oscars and getting to know more about the history of cinema, directors, actors, and everything else about this amazing industry is an extremely exciting event. Plus I wanted to know which of the nominees were going to win.

Right of the back I want to let you know that I’ m not a fan of king of the box office Avatar, and in fact I have not yet watched it, and don’t have any plans to watch it. Avatar won 3 Oscars for  Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects. It did not win the Oscars for Best Picture, and as I’m being honest I should say I was happy. It really didn’t deserve to win and so it didn’t.

In any event I don’t intend to write a review for a movie, nor do I plan to write a report on last night’s Oscars event. I just wanted to share my experiences about watching the Oscars last night. I think the most noteworthy about lastnight’s ceremony is the fact that coincidentally or not ABC and Cablevision dispute had to take place on the night of the Oscars resulting in people missing parts of the ceremony, and the red carpet event.
