reflect.

SFN was a wonderful experience. I wasn’t overwhelmed at all. Actually, I felt quite comfortable exploring the pools of posters, publishers, protesters and sales people. I stalked my favorite neuroscientists, went to symposium after symposium, spoke to David Eagleman twice (he is completely full of himself), bought a brain atlas and 8 more books, went to the farmers market, enjoyed a fair amount of sangria, spent an entire day at the zoo and ate a LOT (avocados mmMmm). It was great fun mixed with the kind of learning that I love to be immersed in and then paired with perfect weather and a feeling of bliss. What more can my inner nerd ever desire?

San Diego is where I am meant to be. It doesn’t matter whether I am a neuroscientist, yogi or potter. It is where I belong.

Now if only I could sit down and actually make the life-style choice.
