Finals: Almost near

I can’t believe it’s December already, or that the end of the fall semester is near.  This coming week will mark the last full week of school for the fall ’10 semester.  After that, it’s finals, finals, and more finals.  I’ll be faced with 5 finals…five.  Well, at least it’s not 6.  But, I’m very nerve-wrecked about this whole ordeal.

Even more nerve-wrecking is I have 2 papers due this week.  One, a research paper for Art History, and the other, a final paper for Linguistics.  Then the coming week I have my English final paper due, the same day as my English final.

This past week, I also had 2 papers due, and both on the same day.  One was for English, the other was for Women’s Studies.  The Women’s Studies paper was so complex that I changed my topic about 3 times.  And even then, I didn’t know what to write about.  It was due at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday at BlackBoard, and my classes on Wednessay’s end at 8:20 p.m.  So I quickly went home, and starting typing.  Up until then, I had no clue whatsoever on what to write about, but as the deadline was near, I quickly got to it, and everything started to flow on the screen perfectly.  I made it just in time for the deadline.  And, I was content about what I had written.

My mind feels so jumbled right now.  I haven’t made a list of dates on when my finals will be, maybe because I’m too afraid of having to face it, and the thought of actually having to write the dates down makes me feel tremulous.  I also haven’t started the papers that are due this week.  I call it fear that leads to procrastination.  I’ll have to get working on it, and I just hope everything works out okay in the end.

This is kind of how I’m feeling right now.
