I only have 2 more finals to go. What about you? The last 2 classes I have to worry about for this semester are philosophy and econometrics. It’s a big sigh of relief that I am almost going to graduate. I think I will miss QC but I’m also eager to set out for my career.
12/15/10- I’ve been thinking about fixing my room for a long time. It’s just not the right color and all the furnishing is worn down. I’m thinking of painting my room light grey with white around the borders. This is going to be a project that my brother, friends and I will do together. We will paint the room, purchase the furniture, remove the carpet, and lay a protective wax over the wood. I can’t wait till I’m finish with all my finals because this is what I’m going to do the second I’m done. I have a test tonight and I was getting hungry so I went and bought lunch. While I was walking home I saw a glimpse of an amazing frame right outside of a deli. This frame had a picture of lions, females and males, grazing through the pastures of Africa. I went into the deli to ask if I can have it and they said sure. I reckon that it needs some fixing around the borders but the picture will look amazing on top of my bed.
12/17/10- I went with my friend shopping for a secret Santa present for my coworker. We first went to a Thai restaurant that she recommended but after having a taste, I didn’t believe it was that good. Buying a gift for my coworker is especially difficult if the gift does not state if it’s for women or men. Luckily, my friend had internet on her phone and I searched for the gift. It was harder than I expected because even online it wasn’t clear about the sex. I can’t tell you what the gift is because I am suppose to give it to her secretly without her ever knowing that I purchased it for her. In the end I purchased the gift because if she can’t use it, then her husband can.
12/18/10- My friend moved out of her house! Actually she just moved upstairs but has the whole floor to herself. Her mother renovated the whole floor and everything in her apartment is new. I went to her apartment warming and I adored seeing her apartment designs. The bathroom is always the best because outside of the bedroom, I think you spend the most time in the bathroom. It was large to make her feel like a princess! Her mother cooked for all her friends and family. There were trays stack of California rolls, chicken, salad, and pasta.
12/19/10- Once a week I like to eat vegetarian and that’s why I like to visit the Buddha temple. Besides giving prayer to my grandma, I like to go and eat Buddhist vegetarian entrees because it is a lot healthier. I also like to attend these Sunday gatherings because it allows me to realize how fortunate I might be sometimes. I always have food on the table. There are a lot of elderly who don’t have much to eat or hold onto and I see, first hand, their struggle to survive. Sometimes they might be greedy and selfish but I can’t judge until I understand their situation. When I visit the temple in Chinatown, every single time I always see these elderly push and shove to receive more free food. At first I might think they are just rude and greedy but what if there is nothing else they have to eat for the day?
