Welcome Back

Welcome back to Queens College, everyone, where there’s never a dull moment. Last semester it was tornadoes and fallen trees and wrecked cars all throughout the city–but this time, it looks like it’s going to be the snow. Not even a week into the semester and there’s some kind of snowstorm/ice storm/to be honest I’m not really sure what it is. Some after-school clubs have been cancelled already as well as some classes, and who knows how much worse the snow will get. I suppose it would be nice for some of my classes to be cancelled, and kind of funny for my first of some classes to be cancelled. But at the same time, it’s been a harsh winter. I think everyone’s ready to move on, maybe to some other weather even or some other kind of disaster to get in the way of any semblance of a regular school schedule. Like i said… never a dull moment.

It’s interesting being back after a six week break. In a certain way, it almost feels as if those six weeks never happened. I feel like I’ve been back in Queens for a while now. But, at the same time, I definitely feel refreshed, and I’m sure others would agree. Of course, this is the second day of classes. I’ll probably start to lose my mind over work somewhere in the next few weeks. Still, for now, It’s nice to be back in Queens College, even/especially with all the snow outside. Hope everyone else enjoyed their break and is now ready for what I’m sure will be an eventful semester! Good luck to all.
