Howdy, everyone. Hope the week’s going well and the work’s going light. Though midterms have been coming down hard and papers piling up, I personally am happy to say I’ve got no complaints. Perhaps I’ve been very on top of my workload (and not as on top of my facebook and twitter pages) for a while, surprisingly more productive than I’d expect of myself as a college freshman. Although, to be fair, other than midterms, I don’t have too much. Mostly reading, a lot of which is just reading the New York Times for my Bala 100 class– which I highly recommend to all.
Perhaps, though, I’m a little more relaxed because of this weather. Although it’s not a pretty forecast for the coming days, today was a pleasant reminder that there is indeed a sun out there. Spring suddenly started to feel tangible. And although that feeling was short lived, it was still a nice feeling nonetheless.
It was especially nice to receive an email from the BALA department regarding summer classes. To think about summer is a lovely escape. It’s not just the weather, though. The thought of taking a class or two during the summer session really does intrigue me. As someone whose never taken college classes during the summers before, it seems interesting. Taking classes outside of the regular semester in a different-than-regular-semester kind of system seems like it could be cool. However, it requires some careful planning. I guess I’ll have to see how that pans out. Whatever happens, I’m ready to go with it.
As always, hope everyone’s not working too hard. Have a good rest of the week!
