Please watch this video first: Story of Stuff
I know this video is not that new. But it is new to me. It was played in my Environmental Science by my Professor, Dr. Stewart.
I am really moved by this video. I believe that some exaggeration has been used in the video, and that is solely because they have tried to prove a point. This is not because they were biased with their information.
I am neither 100% careless about the environment, nor I am the greenest person. I try to do my best. If I can shop less, I will. If I don’t have throw it out I won’t. I am somewhat conservative when it comes to the nature. But then again, I still have my carbon foot-print. I mean you can’t be an American citizen and not have a big carbon foot-print.
However, after finding out my carbon foot-print, I realized that my carbon foot-print is below the national average. I am pretty excited about that, because knowing myself, I know I can even lower my carbon foot-print once I start working and design my home “green.”
I don’t say that you should agree with this video. I am not saying that I agree 100% with this video. But I do know that it is worth watching it. It is certainly worth thinking about it.
I want to hear other thoughts on this matter. And I don’t mind a few debates. Of course, I watched some video responses on YouTube. They all had some good points, whether they were against it or not.
