Back in November of 2010 I wrote a post about the clock tower’s bell not working after the famous September tornado that landed on QC campus.
What Happened to the Bell of the Clock Tower?
I am glad to announce that they have already started working on the clock and I hope it will be fixed soon. Queens College is famous for its unique campus and the clock tower and its bell is a major element that distinguishes Queens College from many other schools.
I really truly miss the bell going off every hour. You could almost hear it from any point on campus.
I don’t know why it took them this long to start fixing and even now that they have finally started working on it. It really doesn’t mean that they are going to be done with it very soon. It will probably take them the entire Summer.
I don’t know why every moves so slow. At least I think that things don’t happen fast enough. But then again Queens College is a public school, in which it means they need money from the government for major repairs such as the clock tower or the tennis court.
Whatever the reason may be, I hope they fix it pretty soon. Queens College’s amazing campus is a major contributing factor for many students like myself to attend this school rather than a school in Manhattan or other locations. So let’s hope that the campus is going to stay nice, clean, beautiful and attractive.
