Every once in a while, you realize how very lucky you are. Today is one of those days.
On a day such as today, you learn to count your blessings. I am so lucky to be surrounded by loving, amazing people. I am fortunate to have all of the opportunities that I do– regrettably, there are times that I take them for granted. Each and every day I wake is another opportunity that others are not fortunate enough to have. I should be ashamed of myself for complaining about trivial things such as having to take the bus or my cell phone’s sad resemblance to a refrigerator [it was free with my t-mobile plan…].
I suppose I’m only human, and as it has been said, “to err is human”. Still, I wish to be a better person. I want to learn to be thankful for what I have all the time, and not just when it becomes most apparent. I thank all those in my life who make it worth living.
