I babysit two little girls every Sunday morning.
They like to look up random things on google/wikipedia.
Last Sunday they wanted me to look up “something silly.”
I came upon this.
What a great way to make simple changes to your every day routine!
I had actually felt myself getting into a daily routine that was starting to get a bit too “routine.” I wake up every morning (thank god), do the same things, go to the same classes, see the same friends (which I’m thankful for), come home, cook in the same kitchen, clean the same room, and watch the same news channels before snuggling up in the same bed.
“A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance
Make life interesting and fun. When you feel life becoming even just a tad bit bland, do something silly.
Just in case, here’s a definition of silly.
(I’d vote for definition #3. Weak in intellect. You don’t always have to be smart. Take a break.)
