The simple things
The simplest things in life are the best things.
Its peaceful in the woods tonight
The shadows dance around
The trees are swaying in the wind,
Snowflakes are falling on the ground.
It seems to drift so elegantly
As the wind blows it away.
Just like the leaves that fell from the trees
Because they refused to stay.
I sat there looking through the night
As magic filled the air
And I felt a sense of happiness
To which no on can compare.
All the pain had disappeared
That cut just like a knife,
And that’s when I fully realized
I love the simple things in life.

(Sorry if I tricked you into thinking that perhaps I wrote that poem. Haha.)
Not my words, but I love this poem. Perhaps it’s not so difficult for us to look into something that looks complicated, learn it, and master it. To find the true beauty in the simplest things in life may possibly be the hardest thing on earth.
Try cooking a delicious meal out of three ingredients. It is … DIFFICULT. Try it some time. If you master that, I’m sure you can cook any complicated meal.
Take a simple song like the American National Anthem. We all know how hard that song is, right? Musically it is one of the simplest songs ever.
Take nothing and change it into something. If you can do that, you can do anything.
