Is this snowy rainy making you mellow? it’s sure is making me just too mellow to think about the many compositions I want/need to write/finish composing. I think I hit my mellowest point, today on my way to school when I was on the bus listening to my ipod on shuffle and Beck came on. “Steal My Body Home” was the song, and it just felt so great listening to his low voice over a whale sounding instrument I can’t seem to figure out and the awesome constant drumbeat. It reminds me how music is so much more about feeling than complexity, something that you tend to forget when being surrounded by classical and contemporary musicians and composers.

This song made me go “ahhh yesss” and I hope it gives you the same effect. It’s pure mellow gold.
