It’s happened to you before. First, you wake up an hour late and end up running around the house brushing your teeth and combing your hair simultaneously while somehow managing to pull on jeans and stuff your head through a t-shirt. Then, you grab your bag and a bottle of water, you stuff your feet in your sneakers and you half run, half power walk to the bus stop. After trekking your way up that godforsaken hill into QC, you then struggle up four flights of stairs because your class just so happens to be on the fourth floor of the building and by the time you wobble your way to your classroom, mentally doing a victory dance because you made it with just a few minutes to spare, you come face to face with a piece of paper taped on the door that says, very plainly, “CLASS CANCELLED”.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT’S CANCELLED?! I ALMOST GOT RUN OVER BY A FREAKING CAR RUSHING MY BUTT HERE AND YOU’RE TELLING ME IT’S CANCELLED?!

So that was my morning. Once I got over the whole “I-wasted-my-morning-and-lost-sleep-for-this”, it hit me that I…had a day off! I whipped out my phone, I called up the best friend, and I invited myself over for pizza and a movie on her couch. We did have a decent, school-related reason for meeting up though. We helped each other figure out the schedules for our next semesters (because fixing that schedule is a pain that no one person should suffer alone), and I looked over her Powerpoint for a presentation that she’s giving in our Psych class.

*Heads up on the registration schedule: We start enrolling around the 15th of April (summer classes) and the 24th (fall classes) so those classes need to get in the shopping cart pronto, people. Also, Cunyfirst is acting wacky, there’s a notice on the home page about it. When the best friend and I logged into our accounts, we had the York College and Hunter College logo respectively and we each had a mini-heart attack. Sigh. If this happened to you too, yeah…gotta love Cunyfirst.

Anyway, good news! It’s only a month-ish left to go before we hunker down for finals and then kiss this semester goodbye! Talk about a light on the horizon.
