Well…we’re on to the Championship series.

I offer my sincerest condolences to those fans of the Rays, Pirates, Athletics, and Braves.

So far my prediction that pitching would decide things has stood up. We have seen some phenomenal pitching all across the playoffs. The one team that has varied from the norm is the Boston Red Sox who have just decided to put up as many runs as they can.

How about those rookies!?!?

We saw Athletics rookie Sonny Gray pitch his heart out against the stellar Tigers offense. Not only did he go head-head against Verlander once and beat him, they put the rookie in there for the deciding game 5! Impressive young man!

The biggest name of the postseason has to be Michael Wacha. The exciting Cardinals prospect bounced from minors to majors all year long, but made a great push at the end of the season to make the playoff roster. This kid pitched nothing short of amazingly throughout the first round, and once again tonight, beating the best pitcher in baseball, Clayton Kershaw.

These Championship series matchups are amazing. We have the Dodgers and Cardinals, and Red Sox and Tigers.

This is going to be fun!

My predictions are Dodgers and Red Sox. The Dodgers’ chances are not looking too good right now, down 2-0 in the series. With the Dodgers going back to L.A. for two games, those are both must wins.

I have a feeling that the Cardinals will move on. The Dodgers have already seen two losses with their best pitchers at the helm in Kershaw and Greinke. Kershaw and Greinke really are not to blame, as they gave up a combined 2 runs in their starts. The Dodgers need a healthy Hanley Ramirez, and they need superstar rookie Yasiel Puig to step up. Puig remains hitless in this series.

The Tigers struggled to beat an Athletics team that really didn’t amaze me. The Red Sox pounded a Rays team that really impressed me. I do not think that the stellar Tigers line-up will beat the Red Sox. This Red Sox team got too hot at the right time, and I don’t see it stopping here.

Well…enjoy the rest of this amazing October!
