And the Irony Continues

“The people of the world look to us to lead. And we welcome that responsibility. We are heirs to a proud legacy of freedom.” – President Obama

Does the inspiration bring tears to your eyes?

You would think that a country that so heavily believed in peace and freedoms for all wouldn’t get involved in wars so often: but hypocrisy rules the world. So where does this leave American citizens? War and sacrifice.

Turkish prime minister, Ahmet Davutoglu has stated that “If any military operation or a solution carries the perspective of bringing peace and stability to the region, we will support it. We will will take whatever measures our national security requires.” But what happens when a military operation doesn’t bring peace and stability, even if that is the intention?

Now that America is getting more and more involved in the Middle East, it is becoming more and more apparent that our government has nothing under control, especially since time and time again they have underestimated the insurgents, ISIS. Supposedly, our politicians have a plan for our future in the East, but is it clear to us? That would be a nope.

America is constantly being watched by the rest of the world, so to tell the nation military strategic plans is to tell the world. But what is accomplished by keeping citizens in the dark? Personally, I would say nothing, but if I said I know what’s right from wrong for America and the world, I would be lying. The key to surviving in the world and politics is accepting that you know nothing.

Obama made a promise to take boots out of the Middle East when voted into office, which he did, but now the presences of soldiers is inevitable. Is it his fault for taking troops out of Iraq? Was he trying to be noble but unleashed monsters?

Obama could never have known what would of happened by taking troops out of Iraq: can anyone know what’s going to happen ever? I don’t even know what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow. Sure, it’s his job to protect and lead the people of America, but that doesn’t mean he’s always going to make the correct decision. He has made decisions he feels are right for America’s future, and is willing to deal with consequences. It’s easy to criticize people who are in power, but just remember, they are people too. People make mistakes, people try to do what’s best, unless of course they’re a serial killer, but that’s besides the point.

So what is my point?

Remember that Obama isn’t the only one who is involved in international relations: he just represents the masses. He is trying, do you not think it’s enough? Try to also remember that politicians, and people, do not and cannot see into the future. I’m not saying Obama hasn’t made mistakes. I’m not saying that he is making the right decisions now. But I am saying, give him a chance.

Do you feel like you have given him too many chances? Do you know what’s right and wrong for America for the present and future?

Also just as a side note, do you remember who he has had to follow and how many people are working against him, to counteract what he’s trying to accomplish?

 (I’m sorry I had to…)

Last time I checked, we’re just a world of people acting like we know what we’re doing, but we haven’t got a clue.
