In Depth Questions:

A morbid, dark question. A genie appears and tells you that you have a choice. You can either choose to live in solitary confinement in prison for the rest of your life or five people you don’t know and will never hear about instantly  die. Which would you choose and why?

“Why would a genie do that anyway? I don’t know, if I were never gonna meet them, or their relatives, I wouldn’t feel so bad about it. I would totally do it.”

Lets say you know you will live till 80. Would you give  up two years of your life for one day on the moon?

“No. the moon is dumb.”

If you could be obscenely wealthy and powerful in any age, time, culture, or country etc…, which would it be? Roman noble?  Kate in “titanic” rich? Persian king? Victorian lord? modern times? and why?

“Persian king.”

“Because of 300?”

“Yea but also because they have those curvy building things.”

All Holden in “The Catcher in the Rye” wants to do is stop kids from falling off a cliff. If you could have any job,assuming all salaries for every job are equal, what would you want to do? why?

“A janitor. Just keep it small and stay there.”

Android or IOS? What made you choose?

“I now want an android, but I just got this [iPhone] this year. My family had just gotten iphones and they were like “siri siri do this, do that” so when my phone was stolen i got an iPhone so I could have siri, but i never use it, so when I upgrade, I’m back to android, because it functions better”

Do you believe in God(s)? A sort of life force you couldn’t actually describe if your life depended on it?  what are your views on the statement “I believe in god but not organized religion”?

“I do believe in god, and sort of a life force. I do believe in organized religion but maybe not in the way it exists now, maybe more of like a Rumspringa kinda thing?”

“You mean in terms of Judaism?”

Yea. I think more of a choice, rather than just do it or don’t do it, rather than if you don’t, you’re out of the faith and family. More leeway.

“Yea I mean, I don’t know, if anyone does a crime that’s bad enough, there should be some sort of retribution. It’s definitely…. I don’t know, you can go to the next one”

My escapist fantasy is if things are going really badly, I’ll just withdraw all the money I have in my bank account, buy some camping supplies, and go live off the land in Canada. do you ever have escapist fantasies. If so, what are they?

“Yea like now and then, my escapist fantasies are usually in a quiet secluded area. Not with like monsters or crazy things, just quiet.”

“I guess a forest, but not with like a chainsaw murderer coming after me.”

“I don’t know, today was pretty good. I’d relieve that.”

“It would be my first instinct, but I wouldn’t insist. I’m perpetually broke so, I’d hope that she offers. Or go dutch, whatever they call it. If she paid I wouldn’t complain.”
