Kingsman? Who are Kingsman? Kingsman: The Secret Service.

SPOILER ALERT: I’m about to give you a quick breakdown of the movie Kingsman, and if you haven’t seen it – you really should.

Climate change is a global issue that not enough people take seriously, so a powerful man takes it upon himself to change the world for the better, or so he thinks. This man comes up with a plan to basically kill off most human beings, except for those who are elite, “worthy,” and agree with his plan. Because this is a Hollywood movie, of course his plan doesn’t work it, but what if it did?

According to Scientific American there are 10 ways to reduce the affects of climate change:

1. Forego Fossil Fuels
2. Infrastructure Upgrade
3. Move Closer to Work
4. Consume Less
5. Be Efficient
6. Eat Smart
7. Stop Cutting Down Trees
8. Unplug
9. One Child
10. Future Fuels

However as many professors of mine in Environmental Science and scholars around the world have argued, that may not be enough. If all people in the world became environmentalists and lived green and clean, that still wouldn’t be enough to stop the affects of global warming.

Does this mean we’re hopeless?
