Well I just wanted to begin by saying that it has really been a pleasure being a part of the QWriting blogging community. Although it was sometimes difficult to keep up with the deadlines, in the midst of all the other work I had to do and life in general, I have found blogging to be rather fun and even cathartic. It was a great way to discuss and publicize some of the issues I am really passionate about and it felt good to put my thoughts and opinions out there. I have not received too many comments on my blog posts but I really appreciate the few that I have gotten and they have reaffirmed for me that my voice is getting across to some other people and there are those who are interested in what I have to say. So, I really do hope that Queens College continues recruiting students bloggers and that over time more people will come to know about the project and it will just take off.
As for me, I will actually be taking off quite soon for a cruise to Bermuda with a couple of my friends in celebration of finally finishing my undergraduate career. This will be my first trip out-of-state in the last four years where I will not be studying abroad, volunteering, or researching so I cannot wait for an entire week of fun, sun and total relaxation. I also intend to entirely stay away from technology during the cruise, partly because I am not bringing my laptop and my cell phone service does not cover calls and texts to or from Bermuda, but I do think it is important and even refreshing to disconnect once in a while and not become over reliant on technology to have fun. ^^ So I plan to do no real work over the next week and when I come back I will wholeheartedly start tackling my summer reading list and maybe revise a couple of papers. ^^ I hope that everyone has a great summer break and for those of you who are taking summer classes hang in there. >_<
