Undertones of frustration

I sit in a friend’s home, because mine has been dark for the past three days, and I check the email updates telling me that there is no school today – that’s good because I’m not sure if I would’ve made it in.  Studying for my geometry midterm seems so long ago, yet now I need to spend the daylight hours doing that again – rescheduled for Monday.  I feel like I’m in a state of suspension – not knowing what to do.  How can I complain about no electricity when other places got it so much worse than I did.  Thus I send a shout out via a blog dedicated to math, I am sorry.

Can I see the math in a hurricane? Yes;  I can sit and calculate the area of the eye when it came to hit the tri-state area, or determine the velocity that the winds were blowing.  In reality, that had all been calculated, people forewarned because of the math that was preformed, but knowing the math didn’t prevent it from happening. Don’t get me wrong, math is still beautiful, but it calculates then nature itself carries out and I needed to send out some words of frustration under the current circumstances.  Be sure to calculate the amount of work you’re missing, and the amount you’ll need to have done next week.  Or maybe try not to think about that.

Blessings and stay safe.
