Thanks for music.

Two days ago, one of my peers from high school, who I was friends with for a little, Kyle Larson, passed away. He fell of his skateboard in the city and was ran over by a truck…It’s a tragic story but all I felt was weird when I first heard the news. He was only 20 years old.

Then I listened to Beirut, a Balkan-influenced Indie band, which Kyle and I both enjoyed. Beirut was the first band whose song I covered. And I did so with Kyle. I played the ukulele/back up vocals and he sang and played the soprano sax. Now a mix of sadness and nostalgia is in the air.

I give thanks for life and for this song which brings back the memory of working/hanging with Kyle Larson. May he rest in peace.
