When I write, I write about what I know.
Since I technically can’t write about what I don’t know, it seems pretty reasonable that I write about what I DO know.
So… I spend most of my time at the Music School. I don’t know how many people have been in, have taken classes in, have hung out in, etc. in the Aaron Copland Building, but it’s quite the hang-out spot if you’re a bit quirky or would like to meet some interesting people with great character. One of the other great things about the building is that it has a library with a media center where you can… PRINT FOR FREE. Yes, it’s a printer you can freely use, but any malfunctions the devices may be experiencing has nothing to do with the library, so you technically have to go to the music office to report any trouble. But most people in the media room will know how to fix common problems and music majors are super nice, so … take advantage of it! It’s a bit hard to find, since there’s no obvious big signs pointing towards it, but it’s the door on the left past the circulation desk once you enter the library.
The music building, among all other buildings on campus, are probably one of the longest open. It closes just as late or sometimes even longer than the Rosenthal Library and it’s a nice and quiet atmosphere if you don’t mind some amazing guitar playing (what the guitarist claims is “practice”) in the main atrium.

The high temperatures are going to be in the 60′s, and by the end of the week in the high 50′s. Here we go, official fall is here (I don’t like to admit fall until I really must), and winter is right around the corner. Everyone, get out your jackets, scarves, mittens, gloves, whatever you got. Stay warm, it’s time for soup, hot tea, and the occasional hot chocolate =).
I used to snowboard a lot and was wondering if anyone was interested in scheduling a snowboarding trip somewhere… I’m looking for not-so-hard-snow (which is probably impossible on the East Coast), and just a nice fun time. I don’t have a car, so I’m looking for someone who can drive us up to wherever we need to go. I took a road trip to Vermont last winter, and it was great. The trip there didn’t take that long, and it didn’t look that hard (I didn’t drive), except for the last bit of the mountain up to the lodge where we realized we didn’t have a 4W-drive in 1 foot of fresh powder and started sliding down the mountain. I also am narcoleptic so even if I could drive, I wouldn’t ever make anyone go through the risk of me falling asleep at the wheel.(“at the wheel”- is that the right expression??) Plus, I don’t want to die.
If anyone’s interested, let me know.
An early introduction to a cold, but hopefully fun winter Hope it snows a lot – snow is WAY better than rain. Get yo’ UGGS readddddaaaay!
