Boo!

Celebrated my second Halloween of my life. It was quite the experience.

Since Halloween landed on a Sunday, I’m sure people partied harder on Saturday night.

I had a blast in the East Village on Saturday – went to a bar called Bob’s Bar somewhere on 1st Ave. It was only a $5 cover charge and we had a blast dancing away the night.I usually don’t enjoy dancing in clubs, but this place wasn’t too bad. (and YES I’m 21.)

The Village was more alive than ever that night, and even on the way home at 3 am, there were people roaming around (or carried around, should I say) Union Sq. to get themselves home to get ready for the actual holiday to come. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much vomit in such a short period of time. It was a hassle to keep the heels vomit/liquor/sweat free that night. Yep. Disgusting. But that’s what Halloween’s supposed to be about for the “older” kids?? No? At least that’s the idea I get from watching that last two years of Halloween celebrations in the city.

So here we are, November. Welcome to true winter temperatures. It’s like someone said, ok- from November on, we’re going to drop the temperatures 10 degrees. It is friggin COLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDD this morning. It definitely woke me up as I got up in a panic only 20 minutes before I got to school right on time for study hall….

Did you hear about the new ice cream machine in the Qcafe? I haven’t checked it out yet – if anyone has, let me know how it is! I DO know, however, that there’s a new ice coffee machine that has great coffee (if you’re up to the sweet stuff), but I feel like (again), it’s way too overpriced. The QCafe should not be serving coffee at Starbucks prices. Plus, the entire cup is filled with ice, and you barely get any coffee…. The QCafe couldn’t get any better.

Research papers, final papers, etc. have been assigned. It’s that time now…. Better think of it as crunch time now and get things done bit by bit to avoid the stressful paper-writing time of death. Don’t procrastinate. As you think of “doing it tomorrow” or “finishing it later” or complaining about it, you might as well save your energy used to say or think about it and simply DO IT. Nike was right. Trust me. Look at where it took them.
