Honey Butter Chips!

Hey guys! So there is this new craze in Korea called “Honey Butter Chips.” They were the most recent and popular snack that took over the little country. Stores could not keep these chips on the shelves. Hundreds of bags were being sold in minutes. Now I know you guys are studying for finals (as I should be) but we all deserve a snack once in a while. And since these bad boys are not shipped to the US, I decided that I would take matters into my own hands and make them myself.

While I have not tried the original chips, I hear they are very similar and my version is just as tasty. They are incredibly easy to make and horrifically unhealthy, which is what we all want in a snack while studying for finals. So the things you will need are:

1 bag of your favorite unflavored chips

chips

3 tbsp salted butter

4 tbsp honey

Now the process is very simple. Combine the butter and honey in a microwave safe bowl and pop it into the microwave for about 10 seconds. Throw the chips on a large frying pan and pour the honey butter mix over the chips. under low-medium heat. Toss those chips around for about 2-3 minutes until the chips are well coated.

And that’s it! You now have a deliciously unhealthy snack that will keep you burning through the next 2 days of studying!

You can also make a meal out of this. Slice up some potatoes about a 1/4 inch in width and throw them on a frying pan with a drizzle of oil. Cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat, flipping them to ensure that they don’t burn. Then repeat the same process with the honey butter mixture over the slightly cooked potatoes and keep flipping until fully cooked! Same great flavor, but heartier.

Good luck on finals and as always, get to eating!
