(rode a bike here from nakano – less than an hour)jesus i am lucky, dear folks, yesterday when i landed at narita airport i was at a loss. i had not
yet found a place to stay. (i missed two flights on sunday and monday-
-spending two nights at inchon airport contemplating my new
direction.)when i was standing in front of the ticket machine, looking like a
lost puppy, wonderful lady came up to me and asked if you could help
me. her name is saatia (australian, but originally cambodian). she
had just come from one week of partying with friends in new york.i told her thank you but no. i said she couldn`t help me with my
problem. but she persisted and i finally told her my plight. she then
said i could stay with her.saatia said she, along with a bunch of other housemates, always had
guests coming and going.we rode the local trains to nakano. i met her other housemates. i
played my berimbau for all; massaged one her her friend`s, kana,
feet; and shared my almonds, cashew nuts, and kim. the house was
cold, but i slept well. in the morning, i cleaned up the kitchen a
bit out of gratitude (yesterday, i had given saatia some korean
breathe mints and a balloon making tube straw thingie.)atsuki, one of the housemates, said i could take their bike out.i rode from the house to shinjuku.and here i am now using the net to search for work.

    wish me luck!

    love

    but…
still need a place to stay
    and looking for work

    MAnBoooooooooo!!!!!!!! i got my first class for 6,000 yen — 1 1/2
    hour
thanks to the lovely cambodian princess from australia, saatia, who
picked me up like a stray cat and brought me to her home from the
airport–on my “first” day in tokyo–“narita”. she basically gave me
one her classes. wow!!! why? i don`t know–don`t wanna look a gift
angel in the mouth ya know…

…actually today was my last day at takamaru`s house–another kind
soul picked me up, on sunday, at ikebukuro station`s nishi-guchi park
(where i spent saturday night) and took me to his home.

My Tony in Tokyo Yahoo Group still lives (click time jump)!!!!

Japan has the best thing ever!!! Internet cafes that you can sleep in, with free green tea beverages, and showers!!!  We definitely need that here in NYC. It made my Tokyo sojourn so much better, especially on the colder days.

Government offices had many great services for the public.

Just like in NYC the subways are great way to get out from the cold for those who don’t have anywhere else–but with velvet seating, way better than NYC.

It’s awesome taking pics with random Tokyo girls, who make you feel like you’re number one just for fun!

Tomoyuki became my best friend in Tokyo. We hung out here and there around town.

Seungbo befriended me in Shinjuku and invited to his house when I went back to Korea.
